my 2014 6.2 truck sometimes will not cold start. almost like a carburetor engine that is flooded. only way to start it is to step on the throttle while cranking over. once started and running for about 30 seconds it is fine.Make sure it is in park! (or remove the coil wire ) Jumper from the battery + to the S terminal on the solenoid, it should start/turn over. If it dose not turn over it is probably the solenoid. If it turns over it is a wiring problem. Check your firewall plug for corroded terminals yarb

STARTING PROBLEM I have a 2000 ford f150 5.4L the truck cranks but will not start some times. if i spray starter fliud into the booster in will start up. but other times the truck will start then just idle off. There is good fuel psi, just changed the fuel pump relay. the problem stop for a while then started again. So what would the problem be? Apr 30, 2018 · If you're towing less than 12,000#, the 6.2 is a viable option. My POV only tows around 8000#. If you tow over 10,000# opt for the 4.30 gears. The Cummins and Ford Scorpion are pretty even. I took it to the ford dealer and for a $90 diagnosis they couldn't find anything wrong. I know you need fuel and spark at right time to start and run. Once started the car runs fine.
